Sit by the lake in the cold
And try to understand
Never heard, but twice told
Like ice wearing thin
Watch your youth and grow old
Cigarettes in the sand
Place a bet or just fold
So good at sinking, never learned to swim
Never felt it before
All these premonitions digging in
Try to settle the score
All these lives that you've lived
Nobody told you it could all come down to one wrong call
One of my favorite albums of all time. Turnover really hit a sound here that resonates with me deeply, and I often find myself coming back to this record and falling in love with it all over again. The drums and bass are greatly underrated on this album, creating their own unique melodies that fit within the song and create something new rather than just follow the guitars. Nothing beats the somehow joyful and somber sound of this record. Rob Carpenter
This Baltimore group rough up post-punk with dark post-hardcore riffs and chaotic choruses, never losing a fine-tuned sense of melody. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 13, 2024
The soaring arcs of post-rock, the punchy rhythms of post-hardcore, and the jagged lines of post-punk all join on the latest from Aversions. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2023
Noisy Siberian post-punk with mathcore's sense of inventive tempo and vocals that nearly howl with urgent insistence. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 27, 2023
Terrific, marauding post-punk that will thrill fans of Idles with its pairing of cutting riffs and wry spoken/sung lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2022
